Today I felt inspired to put my face on, by what...I'm not really sure.
Most days I just throw on some foundation, neutral eyeshadow, black mascara, some lip balm and call it a day, today I was feeling a little different. I'm not a professional by any means, but I do like to play with makeup and create new looks. Putting my face on the internet is pretty scary, but here we go!
I have a secret... I do not have clear skin. I have suffered from acne since I was 13. I do wear foundation on a regular basis. I like to think I've become a bit of a magician in regards to covering up blemishes and scars. TA-DA! Those tips and tricks come from a lot of practice. :)
Also, forgive those eyebrows! Ha Ha.
Products I used:
Face
Maybelline Cover Stick Corrector Concealer Green (to counter the redness in my skin from acne)
Revlon ColorStay Foundation in 150 Buff (I need full coverage)
Benefit Erase Paste in No. 2 (for dark circles)
Physicians Formula Concealer (for pimples and blemishes)
Almay Clear Complexion Powder in Light 100 (to set foundation and concealer)
MAC Pinch O' Peach blush
L'Oreal Glam Bronze (I use the smallest amount to contour my cheeks, and I don't do that everyday)
Eyes
MAC Painterly paint pot as a base
Sephora eye pencil (It's a bronze copperish color haha)
I used the Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer palatte for this look.
As for brushes, I used a regular flat eyeshadow brush for applying the shadows, then a round, dome shaped brush for the blending into the crease and outer corner.
SOOOOOOO here we go! I used a light sliver on the inner corner, then I applied a darker silver to the middle of the lid blending it into the lighter silver. On the outer corner I applied a dark silver to the outer corner and into the crease above the other colors blending it all together. Then I used a black with a little silver shimmer onto the outer lid and blended that into the crease as well just to add depth and dimension.
For eyeliner I used an angled brush with a black eyeshadow. I wet the brush and got some eyeshadow onto the brush. I am NOT good at winged eyeliner, so it isn't prefect.
I applied Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner in Charcoal to the waterline.
Add some black mascara and VOILA!
Lips
Lip balm baby! I only own 4 lipsticks and none of them would have worked well with this look. When in doubt, Lip balm it up! I used Carmex today.
I'm not sure how helpful this will be to anyone, but the point of makeup is to have fun, right? GO CRAZY! Enjoy!
Till next time, Thanks for reading!
* Heather
